Torquemeter is a transducer for measuring rotational force and converting it into electronic output signal. In this paper, the techniques to fabricate low cost yet effective torquemeter system introduced. The device calibrated tested prove effectiveness robustness. Thesystem developed investigate thetorquegeneratedbywind turbinesystem.The presented comprisesof two subsystemsnamely photointerrupter (primary) load cell (secondary).The reliability of analyzed bystages in order verify acquiring measurementnamely RPM, weight (load) torque. It found that 5 kg illustratedunsteady noise behavior relative defined calibration weight. Meanwhile, percentage accuracy (Pa) final 3threading Pa= 94.709 %, 97.32 98.826 % 10 g, 20 g 100 respectively.Measurement acquired from compared against2D CFD numerical modelunder similar flow condition. Resultsshows themeasurement Mt= 0.731842 as model 0.82553 which results error (%) Pe= 11.35 %. However,the has overpredicted moment value since compensated blockage factor external environmental factors. safe say, instrument applicable feasible WT torque acquisition.
